Hello. If you make workout videos on YouTube, Filta may be suggesting one of yours to someone this morning. Here is exactly what that means, in plain terms.

What Filta does

Filta is a planner. Someone tells it their goals and when they can train; it finds workouts that fit, puts them in their calendar, and learns which ones they actually finish. Your video plays in YouTube’s own player, on our page, with your channel name and your title on it. We show your title, your channel name and a still from the video, all served by YouTube, and the details YouTube gives us through its API.

What Filta doesn’t do

• We don’t download, copy or re-host your video, your thumbnail or your audio. Nothing of yours sits on our servers.
• We don’t charge anyone to watch it. Filta’s subscription pays for our own planning features, never for your work: your video plays in YouTube’s player and stays free to watch on YouTube.
• We don’t claim you endorse us, and we don’t use your name, face or branding to advertise Filta. Your name appears next to your video, where it belongs.
• We don’t strip anything out of the player, and we don’t get around the “allow embedding” setting. If you turn embedding off, your videos stop appearing in Filta.

Views still count

Because it is YouTube’s player, a workout watched in Filta is a view on YouTube, with your ads and your analytics, exactly as an embed on any other site.

Our labels are ours, not yours

Filta sorts videos by length, type, difficulty and who they suit, so it can match them to a person’s week. Those labels are our reading of your public title and description, and we say so in the app. They are not your claims, and we never describe anyone’s workout as medically safe for a condition.

If you would rather Filta didn’t feature your work, email creators@filta.tv from any address on your channel, or just say so from your channel’s public contact. We will take your videos out of search, out of everyone’s plans and out of our recommendations, usually the same day, and we won’t ask you to justify it. The same goes for a single video.
